Introduction to React Testing Library

What is React Testing Library? Why should you use it? What problems does it solve? This introduction to React Testing Library (RTL) will cover the basics – how to set it up and how to run basic tests – and will cover the pros and cons of using RTL with Jest as a replacement for Enzyme.

Elizabeth Funk is a software engineer for Medium in their New York City office. She enjoys building interactive UX components that delight users. She also is a Director at Women Who Code NYC and is active in the React and JavaScript communities in NYC. Additionally, he takes pride in improving developer experience for his peers. Outside of work, he’s busy preparing for this birth of his first daughter.
