From on-prem Kubernetes to hyperscaler and back: Crafting our own KaaS product

In this session, Clément Duffau and Prateek Raj will share their journey of adopting an internal Kubernetes-as-a-Service (KaaS) product strategy. They will highlight the cultural and technical transformations that enabled their team to achieve greater reliability, performance, and efficiency. Starting with a single on-premises Kubernetes cluster, the team moved to multiple managed clusters on a hyperscaler before transitioning back to on-premises with a platform-first approach, shifting from DevOps practices. The talk will focus on the cultural shifts required to manage a KaaS product with a small team of 5+ platform engineers supporting over 300 users.
