Talk Abstract: This talk will give a broad but thorough overview of malware in 2019, from the most essential commodity malware to the most advanced and most persistent threats. What are the trends in malware, what weaknesses do malware attacks exploit and what is needed for a malware attack to be successful? Though the focus of the talk will be global, the focal point will be India and the Indian subcontinent, which is where most of the examples will be taken from.
