About Aditi Agrawal:
Aditi Agrawal is a Senior Research Associate at MediaNama. She focusses on issues of privacy, cybersecurity, traceability, surveillance, Aadhaar, and regulation of Big Tech. She has been extensively covering the WhatsApp traceability case and the WhatsApp-Pegasus “hack” in India, along with developments around the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019.
In the past, she has worked in editorial positions at the Press Trust of India, and Hard News Magazine. She has also worked at Pan Macmillan, both in Delhi and in New York.
She studied at the New York University (Department of Media, Culture, and Communication) where she focussed on the intersection of law, technology, and culture. She has a master’s in English literature from St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and is an alumna of Miranda House’s English Department.
