Merging Design and Developement

ZEIT founder Guillermo Rauch expanded on his well known essay, Pure UI, which outlined that Ui is a pure function of state. He explained that this essay painted an overly simplistic picture of the relationship between UI and data, failing to take into account the way that data changes throughout the process. He expanded on this thought with this presentation, titled Consistent UI, where he dives into why product designers need to understand how backends and databases work to be able to design the best products.
