How do you build your dream team and ensure it continues to thrive?

In this talk I will run through the life cycle of growing, developing and retaining a great team. Starting with strategies to create a great culture within your existing team, tips for interviewing to ensure you hire the right people and lastly practical ways to manage or influence behaviour and have “difficult” conversations to ensure you keep a great team!

This talk is aimed at team leads / tech leads / senior developers / and anyone who is going to be involved in this life cycle.

Donna has been building technical teams for over twenty years. She is passionate about helping businesses scale, creating great workplace environments where people can thrive.

Donna recently joined AWS as the Partner Manager for WA/SA and was previously the State Delivery Manager at Readify, leading a team of 80. She is the CEO of startup SHOUTOUT - a simple recognition platform designed to help companies create a culture of gratitude.

Donna is passionate about community and an organiser for many NFP groups including Women in Technology WA, Muses Code JS, Women Who Code Melbourne and is a Beacon Foundation mentor.

Donna was recognised for her contribution to Professional Services and Community with a 40 under 40 Award in 2019.
